You control Batman as he fights to subdue The Joker and his fellow inmates when they seize control of the Asylum on Arkham Island.

On a routine trip returning The Joker to Arkham Asylum, the Batman himself must deal with traps set within its inner sanctums, purposely set by the now escaped Joker, along with the rest of his rogues' gallery that are now free within the premises.

After the Joker breaks free from his imprisonment and takes over the entire facility of Arkham Asylum, Batman finds himself having to come against some of his greatest enemies and several inmates as he sets out to stop the clown prince of crime.

After the Joker springs a trap on Batman, the inmates of Arkham Asylum are set free and wreak havoc upon Arkham Island. Stuck inside the prison holding his greatest enemies, Batman must fight for his life and help all surviving police officers get out of the Asylum.
